Job Description

Position Summary:

The Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in the financial planning, forecasting, and analysis processes. By providing reporting and analytics to department managers and executive management, the financial analyst can assist with the decision-making process. This role is perfect for someone who has an eye for detail and a desire to help drive process improvements and long-term strategy based on sound analyses.

 Responsibilities: 
  • Prepare and analyze financial plans, forecasts, operational information and reports
  • Compare and evaluate budgets and forecasts with actual results
  • Analyze current and historical trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost, staff utilization and report on variances
  • Assist in implementing revenue recognition concepts, including identifying matters with complex revenue attributes, analyzing matters to isolate and model performance obligations, and creating supporting schedules and worksheets to support revenue recognition
  • Increase productivity by developing automated applications, eliminating duplicate efforts and coordinating information requirements
  • Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports and making presentations of findings and analyses that include the use of charts and graphs to illustrate data
  • Serve as a key point of contact for financial inquiries and provide support to business units and senior management
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
  • Experience using financial planning software e.g. Hyperion, Sage, Adaptive Insights is preferred
