Your Mission at Atlan ????

• Own the Pulse of Finance: You will take full ownership of the accounting as well as liasoning with stakeholders for appropriate data. You aren't just crunching numbers; you are managing relationships.
• Eliminate the Month-End Crunch: Your ability to maintain "T+2" processing (ensuring all transactions are recorded within 48 hours) will directly shape our ability to close books faster, transforming month-end from a fire drill into a smooth review.
• Architect the "Daily Cash Truth": This role is central to unlocking real-time financial visibility — what you reconcile will be used by the founders / investors to make critical decisions.
• Automate to Scale: You’ll have a blank canvas to architect efficient workflows. You won't just accept manual data entry; you will implement tools, bank reconciliation rules, and automations to remove friction and error.
• Unblock the Strategy Team: By owning the transactional layer with absolute precision, you create leverage across the finance team, freeing up senior accountants to focus on complicated accounting matters, and long-term growth planning.
• Gatekeeper of Integrity: You’ll join a small team with outsized impact — your vigilance in reviewing expenses and classifying transactions in your first 6 months will lay the foundation for a clean, audit-ready General Ledger.

What makes you a great fit ????

• Deep experience in fast paced Saas companies’ accounting environment in GL / accounting team
• Proven track record of scaling, optimizing, and evaluating use of AI in day to day accounting operations.
• Strong communicator, collaborator, and builder with high agency among cross-team workplace
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and turning zero-to-one
• You bring both strategic thinking and roll-up-your-sleeves execution
• You bring both comfort with VLOOKUPs/Pivot Tables and a "tech curiosity" on how to automate a recurring journal entry.
• You view this role not as a destination, but as a bootcamp to master the operational fundamentals required to become a Controller or Finance Leader in the future.
